Therapists

Sue Hubick
Sue has been a massage therapist and aesthetician for 15 years. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Sue and her family moved to Fountain Hills eight years ago. She has always enjoyed the healing aspect of her profession and is always in search of new and unusual modalities. Over the years, her repertoire has grown into a wide array of unique treatments that has bridged the gap between spa treatments and therapeutic restoration. She offers various massage including Swedish, deep tissue, aquatic*, hot stone, and thai, as well as cupping,** ear coning,*** facial rejuvenation, herbal body wraps, cellulite treatments, and lymphatic drainage.

*Aquatic massage uses a variety of massage techniques, stretches and spinal work. Because of the increased relaxation of the warm water, there is a kind of freedom that cannot be experienced on dry land. Clients with limited range of motion, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and nerve damage can greatly benefit from this massage.

**Cupping is a form of Chinese medicine where cups are gently placed over the skin and a suction is formed. During this painless process, the tissue is separated and blood is allowed in for faster healing and toxins are removed.

***Ear coning is a native American procedure in which paraffin coated cones are gently placed into the ear. Suction forms and ear wax and debris is removed from the ear canal naturally. This is a very relaxing process and great for the sinuses.

Susan Radford
Thai Massage is like having someone do yoga to your body. The deep, but gentle stretch of muscles is done in a unique way that is very passive to the recipient, yet very active in its effects on the body. Some of the many benefits of Thai Massage include increased flexibility and range of motion, the massage of the internal organs, oxygenation of blood, postural alignment, and stress relief and deep relaxation.

Susan attended Arizona State University on a track and cross country scholarship as a distance runner. She graduated with a degree in Zoology (pre-med) and went on to pursue diplomas from the Monterey Institute of Touch in Carmel, CA and the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe AZ. She has been involved in the business of massage for 20 years and fell in love with Thai Massage while taking a class at SWIHA. With her athletic background, Susan continues to enjoy running, hiking, and yoga.

Thai Massage should not be considered if you have serous heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, osteoporosis, spinal fusions, artificial joints, varicose veins, or lymphatic cancer.
