Boxing Fundamentals Workshop

  • TruFit Group Fitness Studios 1526 Chicago Avenue Evanston, IL, 60201 United States (map)

Step into the rhythm of boxing: part workout, part skill, part moving meditation.

In this workshop, Hayk brings a proprietary training system developed over 30 years of experience in boxing and combat sports to guide you through training that is equal parts skill-building, fitness, and mental reset.

In this workshop, you’ll:

  • Receive personalized, high-quality one-on-one instruction in a small group setting, utilizing proven boxing training principles to maximize results.

  • Learn how to put together a “combination of the day”—simple sequences of strikes and movements in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

  • Sharpen hand-eye coordination, balance, and reaction time with drills that sync body mechanics and precision.

  • Get a full-body workout that boosts endurance, strength, agility, and core stability.

  • Discover how focused boxing practice can double as both a powerful workout and a meditative reset.

  • We will also go over an exercise selection, along with how they are programmed into the workout. It is a conjugate system which means it seeks to train multiple aspects of fitness at the same time. This includes aerobic (steady state endurance) / anaerobic (short intense bursts) energy systems, along with improving 3 dimensional strength, rate of force production, S.A.Q. (Speed, Agility, Quickness), balance, flexibility and core stability.

This system is designed to train multiple aspects of fitness at once—cardio, strength, speed, and flexibility—while keeping the intensity scalable to your level. You’ll challenge your body, but always in a way that ensures you are getting adequate recovery time between rounds to prevent fatigue.

Hayk trained under a Hall of Fame coach in New York and competed in Golden Gloves tournaments, facing some of the country’s top amateur talent. Over the years, he has coached fighters in both boxing and MMA camps, and for six years was the co-founder and Head Instructor at Tier One Training Center. There, he taught hundreds of students, from busy professionals to seasoned athletes, proving that boxing truly can be adapted to any age, fitness level, or goal.

Never laced up gloves before? You’ll be surprised how quickly it clicks. Already have some experience? You’ll find new ways to refine your technique and push your performance further.
