muscles & mobility
fridays, 10:00-10:50AM
Building muscle and improving joint health are both important, and in this combo class we’ll work on both! Each class will begin with targeted mobility training that will prepare your body for that day’s primary lifts so you can perform them more safely and efficiently, and at the end of this 6-week class, you can expect to feel stronger and move better, both inside and outside of the gym. Some prior experience with traditional strength training is recommended.
Day/Time: Fridays, 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. [Note that the week of Thanksgiving, class will be held on Wed., Nov. 26 at 10:00 a.m. instead of Fri., Nov. 28]
Start date: Friday, November 14th
End date: Friday, December 19th
Class size: 8 people max
Cost: $240, which includes six 50-minute classes.

What if I sign up and have to miss a class because of illness, emergency, or something else? Will I lose out on that class?
I totally get it – life happens. You’ll be able to “make up” up to one missed class during the next round of classes (or, you can try out another class I’m currently running provided space is available on the day you’d like to attend!).
I’d love to sign up, but I know I can’t make every single class – is there any way for me to pay to attend some, but not all?
Yes! I’ve set aside a couple of spots for “drop-ins” priced at $45 per class. Just let me know which classes you’re able to attend, and I’ll reserve your spot.
Can I get a refund if, after attending some classes, I decide it’s not for me?
For those who’ve never attended one of my classes, I offer a two-class trial – if you attend the first two classes and decide it’s not your thing, I’ll refund you for the remaining classes.
Where will the classes be held?
At TruFit's brand spankin' new group training studio, located at 1526 Chicago Ave. in Evanston!
Oh, yeah! Who are you exactly?

Even more About your trainer
Sarah Laspas – AKA The Fitness Coach Championing Non-Scale Victories – is the founder of Muscles and Moxie, LLC, where she trains folks recovering from pain or injury to get their bodies back to doing what they want, when they want.
Laspas started the Evanston-based company in 2017 as a way to “bridge the gap” between physical therapy and traditional training. While most fitness businesses are centered around numbers and aesthetics, no matter the cost to your health, this one is committed to helping you feel better, move like butter, and get stronger – inside and out – all while serving as a space for you to cultivate a positive relationship with movement and your body, something that today’s appearance-driven social media climate has made nearly impossible to accomplish. The mission of the company is to add life to your years through FUNction-focused training that will make consistency feel easy.
Laspas is a certified strength, mobility, and gait specialist (FRCms, FRAs, FRSC, FGA L1) and pain-free performance coach (PPSC). Her clientele includes a stroke survivor who went from paralysis to push-ups, a 10-year sufferer of chronic neck pain who “tried it all” but is now pain-free, and a fitness veteran who fractured their spine and, less than one year later, moves better than before. She has also helped a strength training newbie fulfill her dream of trekking to Everest Basecamp and has had countless clients say things like, “Both my physical and mental lifestyles have changed dramatically,” and, “I would train with you every day if I could.” *humbly flips hair*
She is an “elder” Millennial living in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago who baby-talks to dogs but not babies, is a self-described Real Housewives junkie, and hates olives – yes, ALL olives – despite being married to a Greek. (Shameful, I know.)
